To ask why everything is hillarious to 12 year olds?

My sister and cousin are 12, I have them over today.
So much giggling and hysterical laughter over everything.
Whats so funny. I don't understand.

I do love having them over, but my God, the noise! Add an over excited showing off toddler to the mix and ouch

Just enjoy them being happy before the mizzy teen years start

It's a biological thing. You laugh really hard for 18 months and then you never have to smile again between the ages of 13 and 17. Enjoy.

I love it when they're laughing!

My DD and her BF used to sing (loudly and tunelessly). I always knew where they were at any given point. I miss that stage.

It is true DD used to giggle all day since 13 she scowls all day , pouts occasionally and never giggles make the most of it.

Oh and singing! They've gone home now and my 2 year olds sitting on the sofa screaming "I don't caaaare, I love it!"
They come here every week, DS is always in bed knackered by 6:30 whenever they come which is a plus
I do get put in the awkward situation of being told things i probably shouldn't and then deciding whether or not I need to tell my parents though, its tricky!

I can so clearly and I didn't have a care in the world...life was about laughing with your best friend who you could just connect with and because you spent so much time together, you were on the same wave length constantly! Enjoy them being happy while it lasts

Dd is 11 and thinks everything is hilarious. The house is just full of noise when she has friends over.

Like pps I assume she is getting it out of her system before she becomes a miserable 13 year old.

Yep I remember being 12, everything was hillarious to me too, remember walking home from school and my best friend wee'd herself laughing so much at the word cockpit

Ds1 is already angsty and hormonal at 12, but we posted something on a forum for a hobby that he has, last night and I used an emoticon.

Funniest thing ever, evidently. He might have a deep voice, now, but he still has an extremely child like giggle.

DS1(12) had 3 friends over on Thursday night, I've never heard so much giggling. They played hide and seek - why do they have to grow into miserable teenagers?!
