Major first world prob but I just ltb in a rush, needed blinds pronto as new house major flashing risk (me to the neighbours obvs) so I called up and bought without seeing the actual blind! I am so worried they will be officey and unpleasant on the eye! Bought the 50mm wooden Venetian blinds from blinds 2 go. Hand holding needed Grin

Jet definitely not. If it were daylight I'd take a picture. From the outside it looks like a solid white blind.

Ruby I guess you can't climb a roller blind?? Dunno.

Honeysucklejasmine, what happens at night - do the blinds become see through if the lights are on inside? Those blinds look great, but I'm hoping to avoid needing curtains as well.

Right, I'm going to order them! Sound exactly what I was looking for , thank you

honeysucklejasmine · 19/02/2016 21:38

Just popped out to look. Yes, you do need curtains. It's very hazy, but you can see in to the room.

Hope you like them jet. I feel pressure now!

You can see NOTHING in the day. When I first got them my nosey neighbour stopped me outside school and seemed very concerned that I'd "had the blinds down all week"!!

But... I think you do need curtains at night time. You cant see much through them from the outside, but they're not 100% private.

X post!

Glad you agree honey! Grin

Ooh I got the Optic Linen ones!

jetsetlil · 19/02/2016 22:02

Haha! No pressure Honey, I was getting some blinds anyway, it's just saved me loads of time googling and reading tons of reviews.
We close our curtains at night but wanted them for privacy during the day

Thank you for checking!

I love mine. I have wooden in the living room but just put very cheap ones in the bedroom. The windows are huge so we had three that mimic the bars on the window of that makes sense, means I can lift them individually to block out the evening sun too as there is a TV in the dressing table cabinet in the pic and I love lazing in bed watching it.

I would like to try and persuade dh to change these cheap ones to white wooden myself......fingers crossed hehe
