Aibu to get pissed off at them?

Found something important work related so actioned it at the same time using the work email to make others aware as is my role and the method we are meant to use. A colleague has seen my work and actioned it in their department too and shown the boss what she has done.

We then got an email praising said person for my amazing find. Said person has now won the star of the month thing at work which is cash.

If it was all done via email you can show you did it first, so why not do that instead of complaining about it?

Can't you show that your email was sent first?

Basically she has seen my email and gone to boss in person to show she has actioned it but either made out it was her work or not corrected the boss if they wrongly thought it was her work.

I didn't find this out until a later date so I have no proof that I didn't get the information from her before sending the email rather than the other way round if that make sense.

my dd got something like this done to her at work. She went to the boss and complained and the thunder thief was told she had to reissue with the names of all involved . She did- only left out the janitor!

My manager at my old job used to do this all the time. She used to email me to ask for my opinion on something, then cut and paste my reply into her own email stating it was her opinion (I know because she stupidly copied me in on one of them). After that I used to change the font/colour on my replies to her emails. She wasn't smart enough to change them back, just copied/pasted as usual. Everyone must have known what she was up to.
