To expect a 2016 cooling off period?

I've started 2016 with a fuck up of monumental proportions.
In the last 3 weeks I've flipped everything upside down.
Surely to fuck there should be a 30 day cooling off period,
Sorry I don't like 2016 so far & I would like a fresh one .....?
Back to the 1st January?

I would love to start again. Found out some pretty crappy news before new year and still reeling from it. I want the 'new year, new me' and the 'this year is going to be brilliant' feelings. We've been short changed. The realisation that it's the same old shite doesn't usually hit me until mid-Feb!

Hogmanay I was feeling great & looking forward to a great year.
Made one bad judgement on the 1st & it's been carnage ever since.
