Young DCs, animals, a house in urgent need of renovation and no time!

AIBU to resign from demanding full time job, temp and just take each day as it comes for a bit, then worry about career in another year or so?

I did the same after having a mini breakdown. We moved out of London, I took 2 full terms off work and did voluntary work, learnt to drive and learnt how to look after myself properly. It did wonders for my mental health. However, I didn't have DC then so only me and dh to look after with his wages.
