To ask if you are on Twitter?

I have never really understood Twitter but it has been suggested that I might do well if I use it to advertise things I make. Are you on Twitter? Why?

I'm on Twitter. I find it a great way to be in touch with people and organisations working in the same industry as me, others with similar interests and those who share a hobby or fascination for something! I follow over a thousand other users and have a similar amount of followers myself.

As well as my personal account, I also manage the Twitter account for a charity I'm involved with. I use this to advertise our service, promote events and for fund-raising.

Yes. Mainly for news stories and following other lefty parents .

Twitter's pretty funny.

I am on Twitter. As is my business.

I actually launched my business off the back of Twitter. A few tweets and following people interested in similar products got orders on our site within the first few hours.

Nearly two years later it's a big company and I am yet to spend anything on advertising. Aside from a few free products to a couple of bloggers.

Yes. It's brilliant. I have got in touch with some amazing people that I would never otherwise have met. I use it for professional purposes - not socialising. If you have a particular 'thing' you are interested in and you want to get to know others in your field, I can't think of a better platform.

I have a blog that I tweet links to and I have access to other people's blogs. I was sceptical when I first signed up in 2011 but now its one of my favourite things.

I am on Twitter but I never post anything, I just lurk. I like to keep up with breaking news and certain issues/topics, it's quite handy to get links to news on a specific subject. I'm not interested in using it for being social though, I have ASD so I'm not sociable at all

I love it, I get to 'speak' to lots of people I admire, who I would never meet in real life. It's great when you get a tweet back from them.

Yes, but I don't post much on there. Like aleweeks I like it for finding out about news stories before they hit the main news channels.
