Hello. Two weeks ago boiler went replaced circuit board at £200. Then damp in backroom and kitchen found: previous owners had a damp course and then sealed the damp in by plastering down to the floor! Hence £800 to sort that. Also having bathroom done and plumbers found a gas leak due to lead lining in pipe making outer pipe porous so now all gas off ! Ffs no xmas cheer here and i apologise for moaning!

YANBU. I hate unexpected costs like these. I tell myself 'you won't even remember this cost in a few years time, so just deal with it and forget it'.

Let me join you anyway! My husband was sacked on the 30th November, he was made bankrupt on the 7th December- on the way our car broke down cos the dope hadn't put petrol in the tank, and after pushing the car to the garage the payment had been declined for petrol cos an unexpected direct debit had taken him overdrawn.
The next day my husbands phone stopped working on the way to an interview so he never made it.
This is all on top of christmas and my DDs birthday coming next week.

And to top it all off, any work I had lined up has been cancelled... Life's a bit shitty for us all sometimes.
