Civil Service pension related

When I was about 20 I worked for the Civil service for a couple of years and paid into a pension scheme. Now I'm nearing retirement age I'm wanting to track down that little bit of pension. AIBU to think there's a way of doing so?

Warning: they are fucking useless. I've had a minor admin issue with mine (I'm still working, it's just that my statements were al miscalculated). It took almost 2 years and me threatening them with the ombudsman to get them to sort it!
