trying to write an essay. Would I be unreasonable to give the person opposite, who has a cold and who has been sniffing repeatedly for the past hour, a tissue AngryAngry??

Frequency of sniffs has increased to about 3 every 10 seconds Angry.

I would, unreasonable or not. Just as I offer cough sweets.

I don't actually have a tissue - I would have to go and get them a piece of toilet paper. They would probably look at me like this Hmm.

Stop press - he has just got a tissue out of his pocket and blown his nose. Hooray! Let's see how long he leaves it this time and yes I know how tedious my life sounds.

It's bloody irritating, esp in a library!

sotiredofthis1 · 06/12/2015 14:12

Yes, he has started again - sigh.

YABU - poor fellow is bunged up and probably pissed off he's sniffing so much, blowing doesn't always work if it's a constant teeny trickle ( I too am an embarrassed sniffler) .

Having said that, I will admit this makes me a gigantic hypocrite as a can't stand people chewing food, even if they aren't that noisy Grin
