They inflate the prices then mark them down to make you think youre getting a bargain.
I bought a fitbit flex for under £60 last May.
That same item is showing as being reduced from £70 to £64.
Wow what a saving.

Okay if you want to buy the 50ml. bottles. Loads of those marked down.
Hardly any of the 30ml bottles in the Black Friday deals.

Its all desiged to shift stock that they otherwise find hard to sell.

Got 20% off my bras (big cup size so always an expensive chore) and 2 pairs will jaeger trousers for a total of £78 when they retail for £150 each - wasn't marked on the tag so a nice surprise at the till...

I thought Black Friday was just a handy way for people to expel their extra pent-up frustration and anger before the tediousness of Christmas?

I got an iPad mini this morning, it was cheaper than I have seen one anywhere in the last few months and more importantly it was the price I wanted to pay.

I looked at boots at some make up but the offer price wasn't anything special so I didn't buy it.

Dfs: best ever sale.... Every fucking year for the last 30 years, by now they should be giving their crappy bits of pallets and fabric away for nothing.

Currys: save £200 on this fridge, was £500, now £300...... Last month it was only £260 ffs and cost £30 to make.

I got a 15.6" acer laptop from tesco with 100 off so was 179 instrad of 279 then got an extra 11 off with clubcard boost so was chuffed it coming in at 168 with then i got a superdry jacket for 55.99 instead of 70 on top of my vax hoover from argos was 250 down to 88.49 in their black friday week so im very pleased with what ive got. I saved for ages for just my laptop and ended up with a jacket and hoover as well

Massive con, and frankly amazed that people fall for it so spectacularly.

Had a look at electrical goods out of curiosity (tablets in the main as my DS Hudl 2 broke, refunded and looking for a replacement though I already know what I am going to replace it with) and every tablet out there at a good "reduced" price is cheap and shit. Same with pretty much every other form of electrical goods unless you're buying something mega expensive to begin with then you might get a reasonable saving.

Tis all hype and for pretty much nothing. Glad I merely browsed and didn't count on Black Friday to answer all my xmas shopping needs.

i needed to buy a rimmel colour burst balm and they are usually £8 each but the black friday deal was 4 for £10 so that was a bargain (i know they are usually 3 for 2 but it was still loads cheaper today)

i brought 16 in different shades to give out as little thank yous for my staff and saved myself £88 pounds which is a good black friday bargain

However, it is obviously not as big a deal this year. The first year Amazon did Black Friday you had to have finger poised above the deal when it went live. This year no-one is bothering. And the shops were empty.

So I think it will disappear next year.

Well i got some lovely furry pyjamas reduced from 30 to 20 so I'm happy. I know they are probably only worth about £20 as they were overpriced to begin with, and they will probably be £15 in the january sale but by then another month of winter will have gone by, and it's getting cold outside now.

Nope, not a con. If you can't find the good bargains that's your own problem. I was going to buy FIFA 16 the other day, €70 approx everywhere, I got it today for €29. That's a bargain in anyone's book.
I also got a ds3xl bundle for 89£, reg price approx €230+.

I got a decent tumble dryer for my daughter and two windows connect tablets for a couple of small kids about £100 worth of kinetic sand and about £300 of kids toys and a full set of kettle weights using a combo of Clubcard boost and Black Friday deals for the grand sum of £19.74 so I'm quite ok with Black Friday

I've saved myself £80 on what I was going to buy anyway for dc. There are cons out there but most places have loss leaders to draw customers in. If you stick with the loss leaders like the kindle fire reduced to £35 when it's been £50 for the last few months you can get a bargain.

It's the same as any sale. You can get good deals but you have to know the true value of things. We got a great deal on a TV but a lot of the deals were rubbish. We knew exactly what we wanted and had picked out a few we liked in advance and had a budget. We saved £300.

Yes to people not caring though. I went into Tesco at 8pm for a few bits and most deals still had stock left.

There seems to be deals and sales on all the time now, which lessens the impact of things like Black Friday or the Boxing Day sales for me. I did my Christmas shopping a few weeks ago - 3 for 2 at Argos, 20% off at Achica, Amazon emailed me to tell me that something I'd been looking at had been reduced so I got £25 off. I mostly shop online as well - there's really no need to head out to Asda and get trampled.

I had been keeping an eye on the price on something for my boys for Christmas. Today I got what I wanted for cheaper than I had seen it in the last month so I am happy! Saved about £70 on the three connected items!

Hilariously rubbish offers on anything I wanted. I got some very obscure offers by email from companies I bought one thjng frlm ages ago, offering really pathetic discounts. Saved a fortune - didn't buy anything (starting to think I am not target market)

I've bought a couple of kindle fires for work, bargainous. Every single thing in Gap was half price, so gorgeous jeans that fit my daughter perfectly were an affordable £22.50 instead of their usual expensive price of £45. Electronics, on the other hand, weren't worth buying. TVs in John Lewis were the same price as last week.
