Since when did family friendly mean anything goes

You see it all the time nowadays. Family friendly restaurant seems to mean kids allowed to tear around and make as much noise as they like. Children allowed in the pool until s certain time means they can take over, swimming in front of people, playing down the deep end etc

It's lazy parenting. I imagine these children are allowed to run riot anywhere as long as they aren't annoying their own parents.

I avoid those places like the plague.

Aargh bloody iPhone. So Aibu to think that family friendly does not mean no courtesy or consideration required or 'families please take over'?
