No bitching from me, special! I'm just a little puzzled why you're getting so het up about the 5:2 WOL.
(Not hungry, are you?
)
I'm happy for you that you've never been overweight and never dieted; however, I have.
You talk about 'facts', but fail signally to include them in your posts. Well here's a couple of facts for you:
I've been grossly overweight in the past - and a stone and a half overweight for 30 or so years, thanks to WW! Now, down to the 5:2 WOL, I've been lean and trim for over 3 years now. And I know I'll be this way until I shuffle off this mortal coil!
More facts for you, which you can include in your 'research':
Hundreds, if not thousands, of women (and a few men) have been happily losing weight and posting about it on Mumsnet for over 3 years now.
More. (The following is taken from the excellent OP on the main 5:2 thread):
"Recent research into the health benefits of fasting: e.g. by world-respected neuroscientist Dr MarkMattson showed:
. Improved glucose regulation
. Loss of abdominal fat with maintenance of muscle mass
. Reduced blood pressure and heart rate
. Improved learning and memory and motor function
. Protection of neurons in the brain against dysfunction and degeneration in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, stroke and Huntington’s disease."
There is more, much more, evidence on this scientifically backed WOL, on the 5:2 threads.
Sorry, I actually did find a fact on one of your posts:
it doesn't cost more so no-one markets it
That's very true!
BTW, don't you have any empathy for those who find it difficult to lose weight?
