So happy I moved DC to another school!

A while ago I posted asking for opinions on whether I should move my 2 DC school and gave the reasons. The general opinion was not to ! Well I went against all the MN advice and did it! And I am so so glad I did. I knew my DS wasn't himself , wasn't happy ! He's been in the new school a week and already he's back to the happy cheerful boy he was. I have no idea really what was making him so down before but whatever it was the move has proved a success ! Just an update really and not an AIBU.

I didn't see your earlier thread, but I'm glad it's worked out for you. I did the same with my DS when he was 9, and like you within a week or two I had my happy boy back. Sometimes you just have to go with your instincts.

That's great news!

I took the advice of MN and have taken my son out of his pre school and he is starting his new one next week. The taster sessions in the new place have been wonderful so I'm hoping I've made the right decision too.

I did this too OP and like you am glad I followed my instinct.

My girls have left that marvelous school now but the years there were SO special.

Glad you're happy and him too!

I did the same thing too a few weeks ago and was mortified at the time but like you am so pleased i did it.

Follow your gut!

He was coming home from school and was just down I the dumps, stories about getting kicked to the ground , no supervising teachers , DD getting pushed and pulled and hair pulled etc. and loads of other little things. They all just added up to the point where I knew there was always going to have been something happening during a school day. DD says new school is a lot quieter, he's able to concentrate better, he's getting his work finished , teacher does more explaining instead of surfing online looking at clothes! LOL!!

I didn't see your other threads so can't Comment.

However I moved my dd and it was the best thing that ever. The school just wasn't right for her.

Glad you are all happier
