hi, am a home carer.

One of the ladies I see asked for a pie for her lunch so I nipped out to get her one and I did park on double yellows. It was an area of town I didn't know well and I wasn't concentrating and parked there as another car was there (I know I should have paid closer attention) - anyway I got a ticket while I was buying the pie Hmm erm, wibu to appeal it?

On what grounds would you be appealing?

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 31/10/2015 15:34

You can try but I don't think you'll overturn it.

Shutthatdoor · 31/10/2015 15:35

From what you gave said you have no grounds to appeal it so YABU

There's never a reason for not appealing. You've nothing to lose.
Explain that you're a carer, Thant you wanted to give a client a tear and that you don't know the area. It might work!

I don't think admitting to not concentrating when driving would encourage them to drop the fine to be honest!

I think it's one of those "oh shit I'm a twit" type moments where you have just pay.
