Trick or Treat

I've just been asked trick or treat on the train on the way home from work. Obviously I've got no sweets on me so could only have given money. Plus, it's not even Halloween yet. Same girl has been round twice so far. Was I being miserable to say no?

Next time choose trick. I'll bet she hasn't got one.

At some point it does just become begging.

I love Halloween, but only on the day for trick or treaters.

Is she even wearing a costume? (not that it makes it any better)

Yanbu. I really like trick or treaters but only on Halloween.

Her face was painted but no costume . I don't mind it on Halloween from my neighbours but I thought it was a bit cheeky on the train, especially as most people would only have money to give rather than sweets.

YANBU. Cheeky mare!

We don't open our door on Halloween due to rude, un-costumed teens asking for money. I feel terrible for the vunerable people in our area.
