I know this topic has been done to death…MLM, specifically Forever Living & Younique (these are the ones I've heard of & are constantly on my FaceBook feed). The 'buiness owners' are actually good friends of mine and/or family members so I don't want to de-friend but I'm getting a bit brassed off with reading this crap. This post has just popped up:

"If you could invest £79.00 - work hard for a year to be a millionaire would you do it?"

I can't help thinking the purveyors of these scams'business opportunities' are massively inflating people's expectations of what can be achieved. I'm all for supporting people who have lofty aspirations but seriously? I wonder how many who go into these things genuinely do become successful enough to do it FT, have the lifestyle they all drone on about etc.

What on earth is it? I am intrigued but disbelieving when I see posts about it.

Jut hide the posts you don't want to see, or unfollow them without unfriending.

I'm sick of seeing Forever living and scentsy on my Facebook.

I always roll my eyes at these types of selling but I've noticed how enthusiastic the sellers are and even recruiting a couple of mates - are the products really that good?! I won't be buying anything either especially when one seller mentioned the fab offer they had on for 2 lipglosses for £35! I'm more of a quid out of the pound shop make up buyer

I see these posts all the time, drive me mental... Not that I need much help!!

So it's just selling products by these brands? That's how they make their money?

I posted asking if I'd have time to look after my pet unicorn on one of these posts on fb recently. She messaged everyone else who replied but for some reason not me...

itsdone they are multi-level marketing schemes that (AFAIK) have a few revenue streams - namely commission on the products they sell & the people they recruit under them to sell said products.

usual I tend to save the uncensored fucks for when I'm really fired up. This is just mildly annoying, albeit increasingly so.

you make most of the money through recruitment rather than sales from what I understand which is why the enthusiasm.

These people make their money by recruiting their friends, it's MLM and very little income actually comes in from selling the shite products.

That's why they all go on about what a fab lifestyle they have blah blah - to try to trap their friends into it too. I actually believe they get a bit brainwashed as the way that they talk they sound like they're in a cult or something.

I delete off FB for this - do not use our friendship or this platform to try to sell to me or trap me into your MLM scheme thanks.

I don't really use facebook - I am linked to a toddler group cos I set the page up for them years ago ...
I have few facebook friends (don't really use facebook) but DD1(14) is one ....as is a distant member of DPs family (he doesn't FB).
His relative lives in an arabic country and most of the posts are in arabic (which neither I nor DP understand) - she is early 20s and I think she isn't overly devout (Muslim) but does wear a head scarf etc.

I have just had an image - think it is a video but don't really want to know - turn up from her page - with the title 'beautiful cocks' it looks like it is porn....
No idea if it is spam or something...she made a post - lots of comments and then this and a few more comments (all in arabic and the translate button doesn't help)...
Wondering if because it has turned up on my page (along with other posts from other people I'm friends with) if my other 'friends' can see it ...(and the toddler group )
