SoupDragon · 22/10/2015 23:03

Sjdorset · 23/10/2015 07:12

I dont understand?

LIZS · 23/10/2015 07:19

Aggrieved customer revived many SD related threads yesterday

pebbletime · 23/10/2015 07:32

Crocs are £30 in my local SD (some reduced to £25.99)

WHY wont they give refunds? do you not have the RIGHT as a consumer?

LIZS · 23/10/2015 08:08

Legally they do not have to refund unless faulty, damaged or not fit for purpose. Wrong size, colour, change of mind, unwanted gift etc would not qualify and any such exchange or reimbursement is discretionary. Most retailers do offer an exchange policy within a fixed period of purchase with proof of purchase but it is not a statutory right.

pebbletime · 26/10/2015 10:20

Ah, LIZS. Thanks.

I am a chronic 'mind-changer' and am used to shops being fine if the items are perfect and returned promptly.

I'll not shop in SD again, simply due to that.

StickyProblem · 26/10/2015 10:25

I have boycotted them for the last 2 months due to poor treatment of staff including zero hours contracts. It's been hard... they are great for cheap stuff.
When I used to go in there the staff were always shouting at each other down the walkie talkies eg
Guy on till: How can I go on shoes when I'm on the till with a MASSIVE QUEUE???
Walkie Talkie: Well there are CUSTOMERS there! Who can go there, is Matt with you?
Guy on till: How should I know where Matt is when I'm stuck on the f*ing till?

I like ordering stuff for the kids sometimes but I wish they'd stop sending those great big fugly mugs. Why do they have so many of them? And the charity shop don't want any more either.

KatharineClifton · 26/10/2015 11:49
Grin

YANBU!

sparechange · 26/10/2015 11:53

MsAdorabelle
You can untick the 'add a mug to my order' box if you don't want to buy any more mugs!

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 26/10/2015 13:23

Oh can you? Blush Thanks.

Sunnymeg · 26/10/2015 16:35

I can never understand how they can have their clothes rails so close together, as in our local one it is impossible to get a pushchair, let alone a wheelchair through the gaps. I'm sure they must pose a health and safety risk if there had to be a sudden evacuation of the store.

GruntledOne · 26/10/2015 16:39

Adorabelle, you can also send your mug to me Grin. I like my tea in bucket-sized mugs.

SoupDragon · 26/10/2015 16:53

When we go to car boot sales, we play Spot the Sports Direct Mug. our record is 7.
