To ask does anybody actually make money Facebook selling

Everyone and their brother seem to be selling herbalife/miracle creams etc on facebook. Do any of them actually make money?
Nobody on the selling sites ever seem impressed with the stuff

I often wonder this, and I think the answer in general is "not enough to make it worth the hassle." That's when talking about Forever Living, Younique, Avon etc. etc.

I have a friend who dyes yarn & sells that and other crafty things on a FB selling page. I think she makes money, but not so much that she can give up her day job! She started doing it for herself, as she's a keen at crochet and liked the idea of dyeing her own yarn to get the exact colours/shades she wanted for a lower price.

I have one that pops up from time to time who advertises pound shop stock for much higher prices . I'm not sure how sensible a business idea that is. Possibly still more profitable than Avon [bitter experience emoticon].
