Just that really. I mean, is this the latest halloween trend? DD (8) demanded I buy a zombie cheerleader outfit which apparently everyone has this year. Apparently vampires are soo last year, mum. Googled it and clearly it's some ghoul's teen fantasy

My 9 year old DD was dressed as this last year, came up with it herself and we made the outfit together. I had no problems with it, it's only a bit of fun, we got an old high school musical red and white cheerleading outfit and went at it with scissors!
Quite fun, we made it all ragged, covered it in red food colouring for blood, we didn't bother with the Pom poms as she wanted her hands free to trick of treat, I tied up her hair in very high bunches, back combed and sprayed green and black, and tied red ribbons in them.
Then did her gave completely white with black hollowed eyes. She wore red and white knee socks which we covered in dirt and red food colouring and black pumps.
She looked really cool and I've got to say better and a bit more creative than all the witches and cats bought from the supermarket.

Sorry completely white face that should have said.

You can actually buy these in a Halloween shop near us. DD is a bit young though but I quite liked them Blush

I think that sounds really cool.

DD2 is going to be a zombie cheerleader, although earlier I was trying to persuade her to be a zombie newsreader. She wasn't keen because of the lack of pom poms.

I love doing zombie make up for the dcs. I did a flesh wound on ds1s face last year for Halloween, all the kids loved it. Zombies are definitely the 'in thing' You can was get modested cheerleader costumes and zombie them up. I love Halloween Grin

You are vastly superior to me!!!!!

AliceInUnderpants · 15/10/2015 00:14

Mine are dressing as a flying unicorn (8 yo) and Pikachu (10 yo) Grin

PaulAnkaTheDog · 15/10/2015 00:22

So glad I have a son! I would hate to make that costume. Vampires ftw!

Bogeyface · 15/10/2015 01:29

We had a note last year requesting "Please, no zombies" for the Hallowe'en disco, with good reason. The YR/Y1 kids especially were absolutely terrified the year before when a few of the older ones did it. To give their mums them credit, they looked great, but that was kind of the problem!

ALittleFaith · 15/10/2015 07:36

I was looking for something else and found this from B&M that might fit the bill.

thesunonlyshinesonTV · 15/10/2015 07:43

They have them in home bargains if you have one near you.

My DS1 wants to be Spider-Man.
He'll be 18.

missymayhemsmum · 15/10/2015 22:38

Oh well, she's got a torn up t-shirt covered in red paint, and her old ballet skirt, and her lovely babysitter came up with pompoms. She's happy!

9yo DD1 was a zombie cheerleader last year - old HSM costume ripped and muddied up a bit then zombie make up. Think she's going to wear the same again this year.
