LimitedSedition · 12/10/2015 03:55

I might join you! Worried about waking everyone up though.

MintyChops · 12/10/2015 03:58

Me too! Bloody insomnia not caused by too much wine celebrating Ireland's win in the RWC

Eminybob · 12/10/2015 03:59

I've been awake since about half 2. I need to sleep I am shattered and have to drive a bit of a distance for work in the morning.

But I'm stressed, my stomach is churning, I can't stop thinking about crap. Hate hate hate it.

Before I was pregnant my dr prescribed me with amytryptaline (sp?) to help me sleep at night. It really helped and I barely woke in the night. I think that now I am back at work I might need to start taking them again.

What time do you need to be up op? If you feel that you've had enough sleep then you may as well get up. I really fancy a cup of tea right now but I need to force my self to put the phone down and at least attempt to get a couple of more hours sleep.

Donotknowhownottomind · 12/10/2015 04:08

Glad I'm not alone (but sorry for you too!).

I need to be up at about 6.30. It is horrible isn't it - I lie there worrying as well (and reading aibu). Why are you stressed eminy?

Actually feel kind of sleepy now too but think if everything I could accomplish if I got up now! In reality would probably just watch TV...

I often wake up at this time. Before I had a smartphone I would have got up now, these days I MN until my alarm goes off at 5.15.

Donotknowhownottomind · 12/10/2015 04:15

So how much sleep would you say you get bathsheba? I can function on 5 but feel awful if I wake up before 6 ish somehow.

Im forever awake in the night! I will try and grab another hour of sleep shortly but I'm always so awake.

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/10/2015 04:26

6 hours last night. That's probably okay. Maybe I should go to bed later. Hmm

DesertorDessert · 12/10/2015 04:37

I'm up, and dressed.
I'm also not in the UK. It's 6.30 here. Waiting for the school bus to ring and I'll be able to get rid of the kids. DH already on his way to work.

Alarm goes at 5.30, but think 3 is a bit early. What happens if you go to bed later? Just get less sleep?

Donotknowhownottomind · 12/10/2015 04:43

Yes though I do then try to go back to sleep. What country are you in desertor (if you want to say)?

I'm out in the middle East. It's 26 ATM. So things happen early and late to avoid the heat.

Donotknowhownottomind · 12/10/2015 04:50

I know how you feel - we spent 2 weeks visiting my Dad in Italy in August and our days were planned around avoiding going outside between 12 and 4 pm if possible. Hope you have a nice day.

I was awake at 2am this morning. I did th dishes, cleaned with kitchen cupboards, and mopped the floor. Fell asleep exhausted at 5.30am for an hour. Feel like crap today.

EatDessertFirst · 12/10/2015 05:03

Been awake since 3.15am. Gave up and got up. Realised how cold it is downstairs so now I'm propped up in bed with hot tea, a book and silence. Bliss!

Devilishpyjamas · 12/10/2015 05:04

I'm up with my severely autistic teen by 4am most days. 2am if I'm lucky.

If you have to work (I do) I find snatching an extra hour of sleep before the day starts properly is helpful. If you don't & can nap later then yeah start now. (Although I am talking about regular wakings - a one off isn't too painful).

DesertorDessert · 12/10/2015 05:09

Thank you. Hope you have a good day too. I think 5 something is a reasonable time to get up? skewed view point from living here, and having an early waking child when we were in the uk
