I seem to have developed a weekly ritual of defluffing the velcro on the sides of DS's school shoes. He has high instep which mean the most of the grippy side of the velcro is exposed to collect carpet fluff, grass etc. If I don't clean it regularly, the small slither of velcro that overlaps is invaded by the detritus and ceases to stick.
Many of my shoes have the same issue, so it's not particular to boys/ the brand of the shoes.
AIBU to think that the grippy side is the wrong way round and should be on the underside?
