To want to easily be able to search OP's updates

AIBU not to want to read the whole of lengthy thread sometimes, but just be able to search updates from the OP? Unless I'm mistaken there seems to be no easy what doing this without physically trawling through each page. Sometimes, life is too short but it would be great to find out "What happened"

Then customise your pages so the OP is in a different colour to the rest of the posts.

DesertorDessert · 01/10/2015 12:02

Colour the OPs posts in, and maybe yours, under customise.
Switch to more posts on each page, so less page flipping to do.

Sam I have my settings so that the OP (in this case, you) is a mid grey. My own posts on a thread are lilac. Everyone else is white.

MaidOfStars · 01/10/2015 12:05

And yes to 1000 posts per page.

MNerAnon · 01/10/2015 12:07

I know what you mean OP, it would be handy to slide across and select "posts by OP only" or something!

WorktoLive · 01/10/2015 12:14

Just press CTRL+F and search for the poster's username?

TurnOffTheTv · 01/10/2015 12:18

Maid that's exactly what colours I have Grin it's very easy to customise OP in your settings

Samwelly · 01/10/2015 12:21

OMG. Thanks all! The advice is brilliant! I will set to work now and customise the colour of the OP posts and alter the number of posts visible!

I do what the others do, OP's posts are in lilac and 1000 posts per page. The facilities to customise are all available.

Missrubyring · 01/10/2015 12:26

Are you able to do this on a phone as well??

chrome100 · 01/10/2015 14:27

I just press control f and then type the OP's user name into the box and it highlights all their posts in yellow.

chrome100 · 01/10/2015 14:27

oh cross post.
