To be chuffed that my rabbit has learnt to re-hutch herself?

Letting my rabbit out to play on the grass used to be a massive ball ache because she was impossible to catch again. Hence, her play times were few and fine between.
All of a sudden however, she's learnt to return to her hutch by herself after half an hour on the grass. Is this normal??? I'm more inclined to let her out to play now!

Seems quite cruel to be keeping her in a hutch for long periods of time. How big is the hutch?

Can you make a rabbit run, where you have a fenced in area for her to run in for a couple hours? Cage animals need a bare minimum of 1 hour of play time per day outside their cage.

I know some people with outdoor rabbits, you make a chicken wire bottom so they can't dig out about a foot down and cover it with dirt. Then build a normal pen on top of it with wood and chicken wire (or metal poles so they can't chew out). But she really does need daily exercise. You wouldn't like being kept in your room all day everyday would you?

Our guinea pig George (mayheRIP) was ace at this. We used to open the door to the run, he'd come out, run to the fence then along the fence until he reached the shed, and then nip in the door and wait squeaking until he was put up into the hutch. His best bud, Bugs the rabbit, would also do this, but in a very wandering way .

Can you come round and train mine?

They get let out, have the whole day in the large garden. Then we go out to shoo them back in for the night and one goes in and the other one plays silly buggers with us round the garden to avoid the hutch.

I wouldn't mind, but the hutch is huge!
