To flounce because Mumsnet has stolen my classic?

I have not changed my name, deregistered or even logged out. Yet sometime between this morning and this afternoon Mumsnet have stopped me being able to see the site in Classic format. I hate the new format. I've been resisting it for years. AIBU to think Mumsnet shouldn't just impose it on me. Stamps foot petulantly.

Ah that's a bit rubbish

(I've been slightly eek about going anywhere near Settings in case I get booted unceremoniously outta Classic)

Hi OP, please don't flounce!

We'll try and find out what happened for you.

Hassled · 20/09/2015 17:09

New format isn't so bad after a while. I was a Classic devotee until a couple of months ago when I worked out that you couldn't hide the bloody big social network buttons on Classic, and didn't trust myself to hit one of them by accident. And actually, it's fine.

MissMillament · 20/09/2015 19:43

OK Emmanuelle, I will stick around for a bit. But I can't say I'm enjoying the experience! Maybe Hassled is right and I will get used to it. Be warned Donkey, it ain't fun

How do you hide the Facebook / Twitter buttons?

DonkeyOaty · 20/09/2015 21:08

Fingers crossed MissM.

Choccers, no idea. Used to be in Settings but don't know.

Hassled · 20/09/2015 21:12

DeathBy.. - it's in Customise - there's a Hide/Show Social Media option towards the end of the list of options.

ALemonyPea · 20/09/2015 21:16

One of the reasons I didn't dereg after Jeffgate was I didn't want to lose my classic.

Stay strong Op, I shall light a candle in the hope it returns.
