To Think Tesco Direct are to blame and not my Bank

On Saturday I ordered ??120.00 worth of goods from Tesco Direct for dd2 to be delivered to her new uni halls.
The ??120.00 left my account overnight Sunday, and all goods have been despatched.
On Monday evening I went to use my Debit card at a supermarket for a small item and it was declined, I knew that lunch time I had over ??100.00 left in my account. so checked on line and I was ??15.00 overdrawn, called my bank and they explained that Tesco direct were holding a ??120.00 so that money was now not available to me and making me overdrawn. Called Tesco and they couldn't offer a explanation saying they had only taken one payment and maybe the banks fault just couldn't explain. Called back the bank who said that Tesco need to fax my bank to tell them to release the funds back to my account. This has been going on since Monday.
Today my bank have told me they have not received the email today so phoned Tesco who said they have sent it but will send it again but it could take up to 5 working days for the money to go back into my account.
I have been left overdrawn and broke, that money was to last me till next week. Am so cross as am on a budget and this has totally messed it up. AIBU to ask Tesco to maybe give me a voucher so I at least could do some shopping.

this happened to me with Mothercare... you have to keep going in the end had to get a crime reference number for fraud from 101 to get it returned. The bank can release straight back to you if you have that number!

if you keep kicking off they will sort it just keep on the phone to them. Also you are able to request bank charges etc back too.
