Flares - aren't they just annoying garments?

Annoying to wear, I mean.

Totally impractical for a sahm, I think. I rarely sit or stand still and the scuffing noise on the floor as I flit from job to job to child in the house is irritating. Then going outside, its got to be heels, otherwise they would be all over the pavement. Shortening them for wear with converse pumps would look wrong.

How did those 70s mommies manage? Grrr

I like flares but then regular length trousers are too short, and if they come in at the knee before then going out for the flare they make my thighs look more in proportion to the rest of me. Hate skinny jeans as they make me look totally out of proportion.

It sounds as if your wearing them too long. I only ever wear flats, Converse and biker boots, and the Levis' flares I'm wearing at the moment don't trail any more than your average bootcut. In fact, as far as I can see, the 'flares' of 2015 are pretty much boot cuts rebooted. Certainly no seventies' style flap and trail.

Mine are long like yours so I need to wear them with high heeled wedges. I love them though because they make me look really skinny compared to my other jeans and I'm vain!

Mine are all about this length www.net-a-porter.com/gb/en/product/605993

I live in skinnies normally, but its harder in winter because anything thick on top makes me look frumpy (am vain too!)
