It's my birthday and I'm home today, but I'm still waiting for the post!!! My aunt just phoned to ask what I thought of my card she's very arty and makes me a special one each year - she was shocked when I said the post hadn't been yet.

What time does your post arrive?

FeelingSmurfy · 04/09/2015 13:48

Usually around 11ish, before lunch definitely though

YouBastardSockBalls · 04/09/2015 13:49

Around 1-2ish

Spilose · 04/09/2015 13:49

Anytime between 11-3 here. Doesn't bother me

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 04/09/2015 13:49

Varies everyday

today was just after 12 and it was just junk leaflets the postman delivered

SpendSpendSpend · 04/09/2015 13:51

Mine is usually around 2pm. Gone are the days were post was delivered before 10am

iwantgin · 04/09/2015 13:52

Any time here.

I saw numerous posties out earlier this morning, but ours arrived today at just before 1.00pm.

CwtchesAndCuddles1 · 04/09/2015 13:53

For years it was always between 11:30 and 12:00 in the past month it has been as early as 9 and as late as 3!!

londonrach · 04/09/2015 13:56

After 11am. Happy birthday x

BackforGood · 04/09/2015 13:57

I think it's pretty impressive that I can drop a card or letter in a random postbox, anywhere in the country, and, for just 60p (is it now?) it gets delivered to someone's house the next day.
I have no concerns about what time of day it arrives.
If somebody needed something for the morning, then put it in the post early enough for it to get there the previous day.
After all, for all the people who go out to work in the morning, then come hoe after 5 or 6, it makes no odds if the post arrives at 8am, 11am, 2pm, or 5pn.

Happy Birthday WineCakeFlowers

Personally, when I was working it made no difference to me what time between 7.30 and 5 the post arrived. I wasn't there to receive it!! Now, not really bothered. I can deal with it after the kids are in bed!!!

CakeNinja · 04/09/2015 14:03

Ours usually comes between 2-3. Makes no difference to me.
In the olden days, I think that would have been the Second Post!

Optimist1 · 04/09/2015 14:16

Gosh, Ninja - I'd quite forgotten that there used to be two deliveries a day!

Personally it makes no difference to me what time of day the post arrives, unlike my mother who finds cause for complaint everywhere is positively outraged that her post sometimes comes at lunch time.

wasonthelist · 04/09/2015 14:21

Mine comes between 2-3. Our regular postwoman is lovely and waits patiently for me if there's something to sign for. I cannot speak highly enough of the RM and I don't care what time it arrives.

Between 2-3pm, none on Tuesdays, and then only every day if there is someone willing to do the round on overtime.

Katie2001 · 04/09/2015 14:23

Happy birthday OP. I think parcels come via Parcelforce if they are too big for the postie's trolley, so you'll get them separately. IIRC, a few years ago they made the time the posties could come in to sort their post for delivery, later than it had been. So the post tends to come later.

TheRadiantAerynSun · 04/09/2015 14:24

I'm usually out of the house between 7.30am and 6pm, so I have no idea what time my post arrives. Not that I get post anymore; just flyers and terms and conditions leaflet from the bank.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 04/09/2015 14:26

Ours has just been delivered Hmm

mateysmum · 04/09/2015 14:30

Between 1 -2pm depending on how much gossiping the postie does

FeelingSmurfy · 04/09/2015 14:31

Happy birthday OP

ShadowLine · 04/09/2015 14:33

Usually sometime between 10:00 - 11:00. Royal Mail parcels separately but usually a similar time.

googoodolly · 04/09/2015 14:37

Happy birthday! Flowers

Our posts gets here around 9.30-10, but we're just own the road from the depot so we're one of the first on the round.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 04/09/2015 14:40

Just arrived this minute. The later the post the more parcels I expect to get :o Happy Birthday!
