To feel so helpless about the Syrian refugees

Feeling so sad today after seeing the photos of that poor little 3 yr old boy who drowned

I can donate money - which I am definitely doing to do. Which would be the best charity - one where as much of my donation as possible actually gets to the people who need it

But I feel to helpless - I wish I could go there and help but I have small children myself and I've no particular skills to offer

What can I do to help

I wish put government (Ireland) would take some people in

I remember years ago when the Bosnians came here my parents became friends with one family and helped they apply for jobs and get driving licences. I wish I could help a family like this

Lots of information about how you can help there.

I can't afford to help.

I'd happily take a child or two in if we ended up in a WW2 evacuee scenario. But otherwise I'm limited.

I feel the same. I've been in tears on and off all morning thinking about it. I'm in Ireland too and this morning I emailed Enda Kenny and all my TDs and told them how I feel and that I think we should bring at least our fair share of refugees in if not more. Also I've suggested to my kids school that we do a fundraiser in aid of UNICEF or the red cross.
I wish I could help in a more practical way too.
