Today, after three years of happily using it in the correct fashion, ds2 did the unthinkable.

He SMOOSHED, in fact wilfully squished the blue and yellow PlayDoughs together.

I'm not ashamed to say I am devastated that I've raised such a hooligan and I am considering several methods of oun

Aargh phone.

PUNISHMENT for this act of vandalism.

AIBU? I know I'm not by the way.

I present you with exhibit A as evidence of his delinquency.

Pretty colour.

SamBlackCrow · 18/08/2015 19:17

It's not pretty. It's an ABOMINATION.

I think it's showing a possible flair for art and geography as he has clearly made an atlas! He is a genius! Grin

I make play doh from flour/water/oil and food colouring for DN, cheaper than actual play dough.

SamBlackCrow · 18/08/2015 19:21

I'd feel even more personally affronted if he did it to something I'd actually made.

The little hooligan.

weaselwords · 18/08/2015 19:22

I like it.

MissesandMuddles · 18/08/2015 19:22

I sing 'let it go, let it go' under my breath during playdoh smooshing (and on quite a number of other occasions too) and it actually really helps.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 18/08/2015 19:22

I can't play with play doh, its too stressful. Ds has no respect for colours and they're all mixed in. I try to keep mixing them to make different colours but they're all now shades of brown Angry I genuinely get twitchy playing with it Blush

Guitargirl · 18/08/2015 19:22

Was he making a globe?

SamBlackCrow · 18/08/2015 19:22

FIVE MINUTES I turned my back for. Think what other despicable things he could do if I'd had to go for a really long loo break or nipped out for a fag. I can never take my eyes off him again.

If you make it spherical and add some white top and bottom it will be out of this world.

I've had to hide our playdoh. Smooshing makes me sad

Castrovalva · 18/08/2015 19:25

As a kid I went off play doh because my mum would hover ragging at me NOT to mix colours.

I have to leave the room when dd plays with it. Makes me twitch. All ours is a pinkish brown mulch.

maddening · 18/08/2015 19:26

Properly mixed you can get a nice turquoise - I have been known to mix in order to obtain the right hue.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 18/08/2015 19:31

It's not meant to be smooshed. They sell it in individual tubs with colour coded lids. Therefore it MUST be kept separate. It's the law.

MissesandMuddles · 18/08/2015 19:35

Three years without any smooshing is pretty incredible!

I wonder what changed the status quo and triggered the smoosh?!

bettyberry · 18/08/2015 19:41

I change the lids over on my sister's kids play doh to wind their mum up. Its funny. Also may have split bits and dropped them on top of other colours. She is soanal a bout play doh. She's anal about everything.

SusanMichelson · 18/08/2015 19:44

It's like when you buy all the different paint colours, put them in a special paint holder with separate pots and the first thing they do is mix it all up to make BLACK.

Every. Blimming. Time.

Starburst123 · 18/08/2015 19:53

It looks like someone's squished a minion! I wasn't allowed Playdoh (probably cos I'd have ended up eating it it smelled so goood back in the day), so smoosh away OP's DC! And remember, there's always the cheap home made alternative, which was made out of flour, salt, food colouring, and a whole bunch of other stuff I can't remember!

ScrumpyBetty · 18/08/2015 21:47

Definitely a globe. I think I can see Australia. Don't worry about the smooshing- he is clearly a geographical genius

BearsDontDigOnDancing · 18/08/2015 22:52

My kids have that moon sand stuff, they had many different colours, but they mixed it all up and just have orange now. A big pile of orange sand.....

I'm with some of the previous posters - I break out in a cold sweat when the okay doh comes out - so paranoid that the colours will all mix.
