wibu to throw these bottles in the bin

After much to-ing and fro-ing ds has been diagnosed with severe silent reflux, milk protein allergy and lactose intolerance.

He has to have nutramigen puramino milk with Gaviscon every 2nd bottle and some rantindine 3 times a day. My problem is the bottles keep blocking. I have the tommee tippee bottles.
Ds is getting very cross feeding now because he is sucking away and nothing is happening. I cant see a block but pulling on the teat doesn't seem to unblock it either

So wibu to throw the bottles and try a new brand..
Or has anyone got a better idea

Can you change the teats to faster flow?

Use a sharp pair of scissors and snip a small cross in the top of the teat. Should flow easier.

Just be careful he doesn't drown himself the first time as it will flow much much quicker!

There's no point binning bottles, they are not the problem.

Sterilise a needle til white hot and make the hole in the teat a big bigger.

Try that.

Variflow teats worked for us in similar situation. They're suitable fr birth, and have a cross shaped hole. They 'wore out' quicker than the simple single hole ones, as the cross seems to split further, dribbling milk all over the shop. Cheapest in Home Bargains or Asda, I found.

I've got some variflow so will try those. He hated them last time though cos the milk came out too quick

Number 3 teat seems to pour milk out pretty easily. I would see if anyone has some you could borrow - I lent some to a mum friend as her little one didn't like the bottle she had bought.
