AIBU to expect that if i give 4 weeks' notice of a house move to a city location BT should have me up and running on move in day and I shouldn't be sat here a week later with no landline or internet! It's 2015 Ffs!

Ha ha . Good luck with it! We were left with no phone or bb for over 2 weeks when we upgraded and they left my elderly dm with no phone when she moved last year. Quickest response from bt is via their fb page.

Yeah, it's ridiculous, I've changed to Virgin recently, do you have a mobile with internet.

travertine · 23/07/2015 19:53

They are a shambles. After no Internet because we were wired up wrong and two engineer visits they charged me for (no phone records stating they won't charge me, how convenient) I still have 1 phone point working out of three and the world's shittiest Internet. I can't go anywhere else and they just don't care. Shocking company.

At least you getting broadband now. Bt never managed to get our broadband to work. Good luck at your new place and tbh for them one week is quick!

BT have just quoted us £1000 for all the work to install a phone line and broadband.

I can't understand it as we live in the town with lots of other houses around us!

I wouldn't have moved if we had known we'd be stranded without a phone line or the Internet.
