One with a flip up straw spout that won't drip all over my bag - any recommendation please?

Well I know one that doesn't leak but it doesn't have straw - interested?

greensleeves1 · 19/07/2015 19:30

These are brilliant but don't have a straw. We went through dozens of bottles before finding them!

Marking my place. I am also desperate for similar bottle. If it could have a core which can be frozen to keep the drink cooler for longer, then so much the better!

LibrariesGaveUsPower · 19/07/2015 19:34

straw ones always leak.

Bobble bottles don't though.

I bought one of these rubbermaid ones from Home bargains, then went back and got one for Ds. Works great. rubbermaid

seesensepeople · 19/07/2015 19:41

I use Buxton water bottles with the sports cap, just rinse and refill...

Gnomic · 19/07/2015 19:46

Thermos brand, plain colour, straight beaker with a screw top lid and flip up white drinking tube. Never leaked in many years of use.
Will try to find one and post a link.

BlackeyedSusan · 19/07/2015 19:48

I use the old style fruit shoot bottles with the sports cap and refill. they are now very old and crinkled.

Gnomic · 19/07/2015 19:52

Aha. It's called a thermos flip top beaker, and they have them on Amazon.

If you're looking for an adults one i can recommend this one - no straw but seems to be absolutely leak proof. I think I bought it from tk maxx.

zoe146 · 19/07/2015 20:25

I have some from b&m, they're great

ilovesooty · 19/07/2015 20:27

No straw but I have several bobble bottles and none of them leak.

Sparklepup · 19/07/2015 20:57

Have a look at the Alladin ones on Amazon. Don't leak and can go in the dishwasher - perfect

Brilliant, don't leak, you don't have to touch the spout and it's enclosed (for mucky stuff or the beach). I have three for DD and two for me.

MsMessyandtheTidyBoys · 19/07/2015 22:05

These are brilliant - they have the flip up straw, are collapsible and never leak. You can also get them in Boots.

Thanks for this thread - also on the lookout for a leak-proof water bottle! I love water bobbles & they don't leak... but they cannot be washed in v hot water as they warp & are not dish washer proof... Three of mine have been accidentally put in the dishwasher.

Scholes34 · 19/07/2015 22:33

I don't know why Avent don't branch out into water bottles. We still use Avent bottles for small amounts of liquid on picnics (milk for hot drinks in a flask or salad dressings). The rubbery caps make the bottles totally leak-proof. I really wish they would make something that looks more the part, as we get strange looks pouring milk into our hot drinks from the baby milk bottles.

The bottles are still going strong and my youngest DC is nearly 15.

GGabcd · 19/07/2015 22:34

CamelBaks. Strew, flip up lid. Don't leak.

I have this one but slightly larger.

GGabcd · 19/07/2015 22:35

Straw. Rather.

ManicPixieDream · 19/07/2015 22:36

I can also recommend the Thermos bottles with the flip up straw. Hasn't leaked so far. Got mine from The Range.

Shetland · 19/07/2015 22:46

I have had several of the sistema ones linked ^^ All but one have leaked after a while.

SistersofPercy · 19/07/2015 23:10

Bobbles can and do leak like buggery. The filters crack (Google it ) which leaves water dribbling all over you. Dh and I have now had six filters between us replaced over the last twelve months. There is no link all colours crack.

It got to a point where bobble apologised on Facebook and said they were slowly rolling out new filters which supposedly don't crack. We both gave up with ours and use cheap flip lid bottles now.

sconequeen · 19/07/2015 23:17

I agree with PP re Aladdin waterbottles. They don't have straws but they never leak and ours go in the dishwasher on an almost daily basis with no ill effects.
