To think that it should still work on my birthday?

I received a marketing email from M&S offering me a sizeable discount on clothes and homeware "for my birthday", I've just gone to spend it a few days before my birthday and it expired yesterday Hmm

I feel like I am always complaining to them about something, and I understand it's just a marketing ploy but it's really wound me up. WHY?!

I bet they know you are a complainer and have done it just to annoy you.

You'll just have to complain to them again. Explain how devastated you are, lay it on thick, see if they'll re-issue it. Cake for your birthday.

YAsoNBU. I have a M&S charge card, am a regular internet and instore customer yet never, ever receive any of the 20% discount vouchers that others receive so freely they give them to strangers in the queue.

Complain loudly and explain how very distressed you are. I am very fed up with M&S lately. Last week I returned items costing £64. Offered £42 by assistant. Eventually after much discussion she called her manager at my behest and said loudly, 'This women can't get the gist of this.' Hmm. Too right, I couldn't. Her manager sorted it immediately but apology? Not so much.
