Bloody neighbour!

Woken up at 5am by a rooster crowing and a chicken clucking! I live in east London in a built up urban area and the neighbour has moved in with them!
Why are so people so inconsiderate?!
It's still going on now and has woken up everyone in the house.
Has anyone else experienced this? I can't put up with this every morning.

We've had roosters next door but one on a quiet residential built up road in a town!

3 different roosters and every fucking time we'd complain to him. 3.30-4.00 am the fuckers would start cocka-fucking-doodling!

He hasn't got a fourth since his own dd started complaining about the last one waking her up, twat!

I love chickens. My Grandpa had three and we had one. Both were town areas. BUT I would never have had a rooster.

The rooster should go, but chickens are usually allowed in urban areas.

Yes, I grew up on a small street in Ilford and our next door neighbours decided to keep chickens and a rooster.

The noise drove us mad but the foxes killed them in the end anyway (the chickens, not the neighbours!)

Hmm I live in Sarf London and all our deeds expressly state we are not allowed poultry, could you check yours too? Although saying that I give it a week before the foxes get them

Yes check your deeds for local regs on poultry keeping, but you'll likely find that with time it fades into background noise just like the inevitable traffic noises etc that you live with.

I would check the local by-laws about keeping poultry, and notify the council noise pollution officer (not sure what the real title is !)
In the meantime invest in industrial earplugs !

Regardless of what you call it, I think it is unacceptable to have crowing poultry in an urban area. Chickens are fine though.

No it really doesn't.

The low level constant drone of traffic is different to a cock randomly crowing. Even when it shuts up, you just lay there waiting for the next outburst and getting all wound up.
