Did woke up last night screaming that I was "flying in the sky" I calmed her down and went back to sleep but she is constantly telling me this morning that when I fly in the sky and I'm going to fly in the sky etc etc.

It's unsettling like she's seen my death and I'm going to fly in the sky lol. She says random stuff that end up happening. I'm too woo aren't I?

I think you are making a huge jump from flying in the sky to death.

My DD used to talk me through her chats with my dead father which was unsettling but it's always just us layering too much of ourselves and our experiences on toddlers who just say shit.

It does give you a wobbly moment though doesn't it Smile

Bakeoffcake · 01/07/2015 08:54

She probably saw something in a book or on TV about flying and has had a dream about you doing it. Nothing at all to do with death.Smile

FarFromAnyRoad · 01/07/2015 08:56

Whizz her down to the village pond and dunk her until she tells the truth! Grin. Or - you could just know that she's had a vivid dream and it's merging a bit with real life as she wakes up. It will fade over the course of the day.
But do tell - what other woo stuff has she done?

GertrudeBell · 01/07/2015 09:04

Huuuuuuuuuuge leap!

She just thinks you are Superman.

paulapompom · 01/07/2015 09:19

I think it could be woo, BUT, I would take it that she sees you on a plane, travelling. The thought of flying is a weird enough concept for adults, never mind children! I really don't think it's anything related to death.

magimedi · 01/07/2015 09:26

Has she seen that Ikea (I think) ad on the TV where people fall out of bed & 'fly' & land up happy in their own (Ikea) bed? It's quite vivid.

AuntyMag10 · 01/07/2015 09:28

I think you're being a bit silly. Seems like she has a good imagination and just had a bad dream. What a leap!

BertrandRussell · 01/07/2015 09:30

She had a dream. That's all. A dream.

Snozberry · 01/07/2015 09:32

She's so little she is probably confused between dreams and reality, she thinks she saw you fly and wants to talk about it. Because children are weird. Not because you're going to die.

dixiechick1975 · 01/07/2015 09:38

It took me a few mins to even connect fly in the sky and die. Everyone has weird dreams.

littlejohnnydory · 01/07/2015 09:58

My three year old said the other day: "I'm not going to have a Mummy to look after me any more, just a Daddy....you're going to die and be buried like a plant." I'm not taking it as a premonition!

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 01/07/2015 10:40

My DS1 has just acquired an imaginary friend... "The devil man" and came to me the other night saying that he couldn't sleep as the devil man was being too noisy and keeping him awake. I told him to tell him to be quiet and was told he's ignoring him... Random bits like that.

Eerie but don't stress over nothing.

Esmeismyhero · 01/07/2015 11:15

My dh was surprised I'd automatically thought I'd be going up and not down Hmm she tells me about stuff she thinks has happened at certain houses etc. sometimes she's right.

If I could have a super power though I'd teleport not fly!
