He wants a clothes peg on his finger.
But it's too tight so he wants it off.
Then he cries because he wants it on again. Then he cries because he doesn't.
Repeat.
Hmm

Mine is crying because his fingernails are not as big as mine.

Ilovenannyplum · 27/06/2015 18:29

It's WineWineWineWinefor you I reckon!

spanky2 · 27/06/2015 18:30

I had this problem with ds1 when he was a toddler. I ended up letting him do it even though I told him it would hurt! Then he was cross with me because it hurt! Weird aren't they!

MistletoeBUTNOwine · 27/06/2015 18:45

DS1 loved ice-cream with a cone. But he loved holding it nearly as much as he loved eating it. But he hated it when it when it melted all over his hands. The terrible ambivalence ...... Aaargh!

(he literally wanted to have his ice-cream and eat it)

LapsedTwentysomething · 27/06/2015 18:54

Mine is being U because he wants to stick a bendy wooden snake up my nose.

Yarp · 27/06/2015 18:55

Lapsed Grin

They just love to 'post' things things don't they. Gotta love those Developmental milestones

Hillijx · 27/06/2015 18:57

Mine wants her shoes on, can't do it, asks me to help and then gets annoyed when I help and throws the shoe at me.....this is a repeated cycle for about 15 minutes every time we need to leave the house

She also gets annoyed if I don't let her put her finger in my mouth, how u of me Smile

maddening · 27/06/2015 18:59

I remember ds not wanting socks on but wanting shoes on that he wouldn't have on without socks.

OwlsEscapade · 27/06/2015 18:59

Your DS is being VVU assuming he is under 5. If he is in his teens or older then he is being VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVU

Wideopenspace · 27/06/2015 19:00

maddening I love that one.

MistletoeBUTNOwine · 27/06/2015 19:04

I'm BU for not snipping the corners off all the little yoghurt sachets, one by one, and then letting DD2 squeeze them onto the patio.

Dawndonnaagain · 27/06/2015 19:06

I had one (now 18) that used to cry because the grass was too green!

Chunkymonkey79 · 27/06/2015 19:13

Mine wants the lid taken off a pop bottle. But is upset because I have taken it off. So I put it back on again. Now appears to want it removing. Again. Hmm

MyGastIsFlabbered · 27/06/2015 19:15

My 5 year old has hysterics yesterday because his new toothbrush flashes. Even when I explained to him that he didn't have to press it so it flashed it still wasn't good enough.

Ruperta · 27/06/2015 19:16

My DS once had a major tantrum because I refused to punch him in the chest (apparently he wanted to show me how his superhero force field worked!)

missmargot · 27/06/2015 19:24

Epic meltdown here because DS wanted to watch the Postman Pat theme tune on my iPad but didn't want me to touch the iPad in order to make it happen.

DS cried today because I wouldn't let him drown his Toot Toot cars in the bath. What a meanie I am.

TattyDevine · 27/06/2015 19:37

Mine wanted a fake nail on when he was about 3. He went on and on and on about it. So finally I gave in and glued on one of the tiny pinky ones on to his finger.

30 seconds later...I want it off now mummy.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 27/06/2015 19:39

Dd went to a party today and has had cake, chocolates, sweets, squash, yet more cake, and is fumin I said no to going to the ice cream van.
She is sat on the doorstep telling all her friends 'mummy is mean' very very loudly.

PandaMummyofOne · 27/06/2015 19:53
