To ask if anyone can come up with a good, novel, debating idea?

Debating group of mixed ages/sexes/backgrounds.

I've googled but seem to get fairly simple ideas, was wondering if anyone could come up with something more novel?

I'm assuming this is in a school? If so:

This House would ban homework
This House believes that children should be allowed to own and use mobile phones.
This House would ban junk food from schools.
This house would make physical education compulsory

If it's adults/youthgroup then:
This house would make Conscription compulsory
This House Would Lower The Drinking Age
This house believes that internet access is a human right

How about the right to a dignified death?
Or Abortion v going full term to help the millions of women that cannot get pregnant.
Or why do cancer drug's cost so much when the British Government and the British public fund the research.

Adult group

This House proposes that Conflict Resolution, Self Defence, Employment Rights & Household Budgeting (incl all about tax rebates) should be taught compulsory as part of the Curriculum.

just a few that i really really wished i had been taught when in school.

Google ethical dilemmas in the work place there is some good ideas about

This House believes that people should pay for care for smoking and drinking related illnesses.

This House believes that all MP's should have worked outside politics for at least 5 years.
