When you haven't got potatoes and can't (be arsed to) go to the shops ? Also, only veg we have in is frozen peas :-( my suggestion of pasta, understandably, didn't go down well!

I usually just serve it with onion gravy and peas.

Well I would serve with mash, braised red cabbage and carrots...

But, in your situation, chips and peas?

Peas and gravy is fine, don't need mash when you have Yorkshire.

Could you just do sausage, chips and peas?
Or make a sausage pasta?

Just make more of the Yorkshire pudding part and serve with peas and gravy.

We just have it with gravy and peas.

I would only serve green vegetables or carrots or something. I never another carby thing with Toad in the hole. I do it mid-week for the children when I can't be bothered to do potaoes!

Just make enough Yorkshire batter mix then you won't need another carb. I just do vegetables and onion gravy and it makes a filling meal.
