I'd fuck with him by pointing out really unattractive people, preferably who look nothing like him, and say how they are soooo hot, just your type etc. so that he questions why you find him attractive if your taste is so odd!

Depends entirely on how it makes you feel. If you have always received such comments before with apparent good humour, he may think you don't mind. Some couples don't mind this sort of thing. But if you have said you prefer that he pipes down and he persists, he's a twat.
