I went for an interview/assessment day last Wednesday. They said that I would be told this week. Its now a week ago and I still havent heard.

It is agony waiting!!!

Phone them

If they said you'd here this week they have until end of Friday until they're "late" right? Unless I'm misunderstanding, I'd wait and call on Monday if you haven't heard.

yes you are right mellowjello but I have said sod it and sned a short polite email.
If I look pushy then its only because I am keen

It doesn't look pushy, it looks desperate! Leave it, they said this week, that means this week, not a week from the interview.

If they had the results or had made a decision they'd have let you know, so you won't achieve anything by chasing.

The only thing that could happen, if they're struggling with a borderline decision, is that you look like you might be a PITA!

InstitutionCode · 10/06/2015 11:55

Oh whoops, you've already sent it!

Sallystyle · 10/06/2015 11:56

Too late now but I would have given them until Monday.

I think it could look like you are inpatient and pushy.

Meh! I do a fair bit of recruitment. If I'd decided someone was right for the job it wouldn't put me off because they chased up a response after 7 days.
