It used to be that most places provided free parking for disabled badge holders. This seams to very rapidly being removed. Aibu to be annoyed at this blatant profiteering?

My local hospital, where I seem to be spending increasing amounts of time, has started charging for blue badge parking. I don't have an issue with paying generally but at hospital, I get particularly fucked off. £4 a pop and I am there about once a week at the moment! Then again, I find the hospital parking charges for anyone particularly distasteful.

There's no lack of BB spaces here, in fact it's the non BB spaces that we have a lack of

Pretty much all of our parking provision is 50% BB spaces, but are only ever a 1/3 full while the rest of the car park is completely rammed and it's impossible to park.

BB parking is free for 6 hours in public car parks (no limits on places like Sainsbury's, etc).

I don't ever begrudge BB users any of the spaces or the free parking, but I think the council need to have a bit of a look at their proportions as that many are obviously not needed (I live in a tourist area, and even in August the BB spaces are only about 50% full) and they're looking at increasing the already high parking charges to make up the shortfall

You'd be more than welcome here, Beyond, but most people who don't have family or a pesky job keeping them here are heading south. We are regularly in the "worst 10 places to live" type lists.
