I started a new job 4 weeks ago, and I've been in training since then and theres a group of 7 of us.

I've become friends with one of the guys in there, we generally hang out at lunch, have a laugh together etc. There is zero attraction there for both of us.

Anyway another guy in the group keeps making couple comments about us, which just makes things awkward. It just grates on me so much that a man and woman can't be just friends without immature comments.

Aibu?

Just ignore him or tell him seriously that his comments are unwelcome. If he steps over the line, report it to HR.

Nutellaplease · 01/06/2015 19:52

Is he 15? Just ignore him.

BettyCatKitten · 01/06/2015 19:56

How pathetic, just ignore the twunt!

AntiHop · 01/06/2015 20:00

Yanbu. That guy sounds annoying and immature.

QueenBean · 01/06/2015 20:01

Pathetic and ridiculous

However, you will get comments on here to say that men and women can't be friends (which I totally disagree with)

Take him aside and tell him to grow up and keep his pig-ignorant remarks to himself.

There's a few types like this in every office. Usually - not always - men.
