To want to go out?

I can't remember the last time DH and I went out. We no longer need a babysitter.
We were supposed to go on my birthday a couple of months ago but he was unwell and couldn't. Sad
I'm on holiday this week, we've had a difficult day and I'd really like to get a drink and something informal to eat but he says No.
He's not ill, he's not in pain (as he often is, due to a long term condition), he just doesn't want to. It's really getting me down. AIBU to want to kick him up the arse?

Have you got some girlfriends you could call up and go out with instead?

Can you maybe compromise this time and get a takeaway and a bottle of wine and dvd? Then catch him when he's relaxed and plan a meal out next weekend?

or find some friends to go with.
and i wouldn't ask him anywhere again in the future.

Update
I decided I'd had enough, we'd both had a terrible day and I just felt trapped, not helped by the fact that I'm unable to drive at the moment. Sad
I put on my heels and my lipstick and asked him if he'd like to give me a lift into town, or if I should call a taxi, because I was going out on my own. He gave me a lift, then asked if he could join me. Smile
We went to a lovely tapas bar, which I knew he'd like and had an enjoyable time. We then had a little walk and he thanked me for dragging him out and said it was just what we needed.
When is he going to realise that I know best? Hmm Smile

I'm glad it worked out. Is he a bit depressed? I get like this a bit sometimes; takes a lot of pushing to get me out of my comfort zone.
