Really, really weird experience at the dentist. Not sure whether to say something

If you were at the dentist, and he stood in front of you and continuously sprayed himself in the face whilst talking to you without even acknowledging it would you be concerned???

What was he spraying himself with?

Nicknacky · 21/05/2015 15:32

Sprayed himself with water? I would assume he was warm and probably wouldn't think much else of it.

SkyChasingHigh · 21/05/2015 15:32

I don't know, it was in a syringe. Saline I hope.

It wasn't optrex eye spray was it?

PrettyLittleMitty · 21/05/2015 15:47

Weird Confused

Not very professional.

You go to the loo to freshen your face up when you're at work.

Fudgeface123 · 21/05/2015 16:01

It's a bit weird, why do whatever he was doing in front of a patient. Odd

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 21/05/2015 16:01

DH is a dentist (off today!) - he says that he could have been checking that there was no water in the airline

Face is most accessible part of the skin to check and more sensitive than hands. He would say to the patient before he did it though

Could he have been doing that?

MsUumellmahaye · 21/05/2015 16:03

Was he adjusting a denture? They do that (spray air) to get the acrylic away.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 21/05/2015 16:05

If it's a syringe, could have been to check it was engaged. Some dentists apparently do this on their face if they have poor eye sight obvs, not young bucks like DH! Grin

Gralick · 21/05/2015 16:11

How on earth did you not ask him what he was doing? Was your face full of equipment?

brusselsproutwarning · 21/05/2015 16:15

Weird! Was his face wet? Are you sure it wasn't air?
If it was water or saline I'd be looking for a new dentist!
