AIBU to be a bit disappointed (light hearted)

Doorbell goes, open the door to see a florist with an absolutely huge bunch of beautiful flowers. He gave them to me,then checked name and address,They are not for me! They are for my next door neighbour, someone got the address wrong,so had to give them back.

I know it's no big deal, but have been through a tough time recently,so for a moment it made me smile and think someone was thinking of me,have never been sent flowers by anyone,so was bit disappointed they weren't mine.

Oh well off to have cuddles with my boys, that's better than flowers any day!

For the first time in my life I had flowers for Mothering Sunday last year. They were for my neighbour but I enjoyed them for the few hours they were in my house.

I had an ex boyfriend who used to give me flowers every week. But being the idiot I am sometimes, I thought it was embarrassing and broke up with him siting, "Its you, not me." ??

Haven't received any from anyone apart from a small pot from my mum when DD was born. I miss them. Sad

Here OPThanks

Boo.. yes being disappointed is very reasonable. If you were close to me I'd bring you some flowers from my garden. Flowers

Enjoy the hugs with your little one. Much more precious than any flowers xxx

WorraLiberty · 19/05/2015 14:36

You should have nicked one and tucked it in your hair Grin

FadedRed · 19/05/2015 16:00

AIBU? When some flowers for me were delivered by mistake to my NDN, she took one to put in her hair!
I've had to NC for this, in case she sends the boys round

That once happened to me on my birthday! To top it off my ndn surname was only one letter different to mine so I thought the florist had just mispronounced the name! It wasn't until I read the card saying to Pam that I realised. Gutted!
On the bright side, Pam is a lovely women and deserves flowers.

myweebleswobble · 19/05/2015 20:39

Thank you for all the flowers, paddy pants no wonder you were gutted, did you have to take them round to her? Had to laugh when my DH said, its probably for the best, you would have only killed them, not quite the point!
