UMS are bonkers , over-complicated and bordering on unfair

On a normal written module 100 raw score marked out of 140 UMs but the maximum you can get is 100.So some one getting 76% does as well as someone scoring 100%

On the EMPA module you don't reach the maximum of 60 UMS unless you get 100% of the raw mark,Someone scoring 35/40 would get 48/60 UMS

The upshot is some one could get a lot higher raw marks on the exam but score a lower grade than another candidate.

That's my next party policy.Exams are all done in one sitting.The marks are added up, and then look up what grade that relates to.
