Another mundane DP or me AIBU!

I've been out for the day with DD and my dad. Approx 6 hours. DP and I have been watching game of thrones. We have series one to three. Last night we were on season 2 episode 4. He's watched it all fucking day and is just starting series 3. I said he should have waited. When am I going to catch up now?! He said I could watch it whenever but I can't as we only have one device to play it on and that he couldn't spend the day waiting for me while I went on a jolly with my dad. I only see him once every month/two months.

So is DP being unreasonable or am I over reacting?

My DP would never do this. TV is our thing (I know, we're sad) and watching it together is half the enjoyment. We both have shows we watch separately but the ones we watch together are sacred.

He's had a sulky strop because you've been it with your dad and watched it to piss you off.

I always watch agents if shield in front of dh but if he wants to catch up I watch it again with him.

I'd be furious! DH and I have been working our way through various box sets on netflix , the ones we watch together are sacrosanct. Any other shows are fair game but if we're watching them together, we watch them together! (Even if one of us watched them first time round as it were)

That's well out of order. I occasionally get one episode ahead if DP and I are watching something separately at our respective homes, but to watch it all day and force you to catch up is really mean.

He's not done it maliciously but he's still a selfish cunt for it. I don't know whether to watch it while he's watching now or wait.

The update he's given me is the lannisters went to war and won. Apparently that's all that's happened in 6 episodes.

If he's willing to watch it again with you he is being a little unreasonable.

If he is expecting now that you'll both watch it separately then he is eing very unreasonable.

awwww what a bell- end! Get him to take your dd out for the day himself next weekend and you can enjoy some time to yourself catching it up- probably with wine and/or pizza, dominoes deliver all day Grin

Oh god, you only see him every one or two months, and expect to spend that time watching GOT together?

Your life will not be impoverished by NOT watching it. But, if he's willing to watch it again with you, there's certainly plenty to see on a second or third viewing.

SPOILER - don't get too attached to any one character.

I make him sit through them all again though until I've caught up with instructions not to tell me what happens. It's nice to have stuff to watch and I wouldn't dream of peeking ahead when there are a million other things to watch out there.

No Melanie, I see my dad every month or two. I have the 'pleasure' of seeing DP every day and he never sees my dad.
