to never leave the house again, or move?

I have a pair of Mint Velvet jeans, about 6 months old - seemed like fairly good quality, durable and they fit well. Or so I thought.

Just on my way out of the front door today, I bent down to put shoes on DS. DH was behind me and roared 'Wa-hey!!'. The jeans have split next to both back pockets - about two inches high and half-an-inch wide on each arse cheek.

You can see my knickers clearly when I'm standing, let alone when I'm bending over.

I could cry. I wear these jeans practically every other day, and god only knows when they split. I've been walking to and from school, to nursery, round the supermarket, usually bending over every five minutes to deal with my 3 year old. I spend half my life bending over which is why they probably split

I know that there are bigger problems in the world, but I am mortified. I can never leave the house again. I'm going to have to move, aren't I? Why did no one tell me??!!

You'd probably have noticed when putting them on that they had a huge rip in so it's not likely you've been walking around with your knickers on show for weeks, i'd guess they split today.

Hmm that may be the way to go Nancy. I have nothing to lose I suppose.

I hope you are right Madratlady that they ripped today. I took them off and re-enacted getting dressed earlier and there is no way I could have noticed, particularly as they're stretch jeans, and I only have about 30 seconds to get dressed in the morning.

It does happen though op, I saw a woman recently with the same thing. I couldn't understand how she didn't feel a waft of air as she walked but she seemed totally not to notice.

I caught sight of myself in the mirror in mu swimming costume and noticed that it had become worn and see through in places. God knows how long I'd been wearing it like that as I rarely looked in the mirror wearing it.

Ooo Antihop, you've just reminded me of the last time we went to Center Parcs glad it's not just me. I spent the whole weekend wandering around in a swimming costume with a worn-out bum. How could I have forgotten that? My bum clearly has a problem.
