Weird Food Obsession

Well, it isn't an obsession exactly, but I do love mushy peas, cold, straight from a tin. DH says it's, "weird," &, "wrong."
He's collecting DS & is out, so I've just eaten 1/2 a tin.
AIBU? (I think they're lush!)

Princess hot dog sausages - atraight from the tin, still tasting of brine!
I am with you on the cold beans. I always sneak a few cold ones before they go in the pan. Blush Grin

Mmmmmmmmmmmm mushy peeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssssss

I've been fantasising about Findus mince beef crispy pancakes with mushy peas and crinkle cut oven chips recently. Admittedly only when i have a hangover.

I have to have ketchup on EVERYTHING including curry, roast dinners and stir fry! I also love cold baked beans straight from the tin!!

NotOneIota · 10/05/2015 10:42

Cheese and onion crisps dipped in the nutella. Don't judge me.

SaucyJack · 10/05/2015 10:56

Cold curry sauce, straight out the jar.

stuckinthevalleyshelp there is nothing offensive here. You are looking to take offence. People are just talking about weird ways they like their food.

For me I crumble roast beef monster munch over my tuna pasta salad. Tastes lovely but everyone gives me Hmm look when I do it.

fattymcfatfat Noooo! You have been taken over to the dark side, too? You do realise that ambrosia custard heated up and put on cake is the food of the gods?

I like to have it on those Galaxy cake bars, it's amazing.

Blarblarblar · 10/05/2015 11:13

notone I'm judging ooo I'm judging Wink

fattymcfatfat · 10/05/2015 14:06

I heat it for cakes! but I'm usually too lazy so just eat it from the tin! Grin

Sausage meat. Uncooked. (Risky I know).
Practically carbon type bacon & salmon.
Mushroom, remove stalk, fill with pate. Grill.

nutellawithbananas · 10/05/2015 14:30

Mine isn't a tin one (although I do like a spoonful of cold baked beans or tomato soup while the pan warms up)
its a bread topping one - i love just mayonnaise and black pepper with nothing else...

Stuckinthevalley I'm really sorry that you feel so upset about this post. That you had to eat cold food out of a tin because of fuel poverty is awful; it belongs in the 19th Century, not the 21st.
I was laughing at myself eating mushy peas out of a tin as it makes my husband boak.
Your story shows how serious fuel poverty is and how, what is considered to be an average 21st Century lifestyle can't be taken for granted.
I humbly apologise.
