They may not have got a seat yet but I'm sensing some groundswell of support there.

Yes although now their policies might be properly costed and scrutinised. Wink

Good on them though. Not really convinced.

AppleYumYum · 08/05/2015 02:44

Yes I voted Green, and am hoping they get the seats they hoped they would. I do prefer Caroline Lucas as a leader though.

I think there was still not enough inclusion of them in debates and coverage, better than the past but still too much focus on the main parties and stupid UKIP antics.

IPityThePontipines · 08/05/2015 02:55

I think they might have done better with a better leader. Natalie Bennett hasn't had a great campaign at all.

tiredvommachine · 08/05/2015 03:00

I voted green.
They were the only party who campaigned in my area, a nice young man who looked cold and got told by me to go and put a coat on!

I voted Green as well. I'm in a safe Tory seat here so none of the other candidates put much effort in. I liked the Green chap, and I felt their policies were the only ones that I was comfortable with.

RedButtonhole · 08/05/2015 03:13

I didn't have a Green candidate in my constituancy, but glad to see them gaining some momemtum. I hope they get a seat or two!

Viviennemary · 08/05/2015 03:22

I have voted Green once or twice in the past. I thought Natalie Bennett was awful. Hope they get a different leader.

AppleYumYum · 08/05/2015 03:51

What happened with Caroline Lucas, being leader?

M00nUnit · 08/05/2015 07:36

I voted Green (despite not liking Natalie Bennett at all) and they came third in my constituency which is a safe Labour seat. The Greens got twice as many votes here as UKIP which pleases me.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 08/05/2015 07:38

Caroline Lucas re-elected with an increased majority! Good news.

SilverShadows · 08/05/2015 07:38

They've kept Brighton

babybythesea · 08/05/2015 07:41

I wanted to vote Green but our polls suggested that the two biggest parties here were Lib Dem and UKIP. I voted LibDem in a blind panic that UKIP might take it. In the event, we've gone Conservative which wasn't at all what the polls suggested. Could have voted Green after all without any worries.

LIZS · 08/05/2015 07:58

They need to ditch Natalie Bennett. Missed opportunity to attack Tory stronghold round here. Significant green issues around here- threat of fracking, green belt, airport expansion, traffic etc - yet the policies failed to mention them.

AppleYumYum · 08/05/2015 08:41

Were they expected to get two seats? Where was the other seat they hoped to get?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 08/05/2015 08:43

Norwich - South, I think. They didn't get it.

ThatBloodyWoman · 08/05/2015 08:54

I was impressed with the green count on the early ones that I watched.
And Caroline Lucas did spectacularly well.

I voted Green,in the safe tory constituency I live in,hoping they may not lose their deposit.
Sadly,they have Sad

BastardGoDarkly · 08/05/2015 09:16

Yeah, I voted green, and so did the majority of my friends, I've never known people be so united in change, but no such luck.

On the other hand, the people that have been open about not bothering to vote have really wound me up with their morning about the Tories getting in this morning!! Angry
